Filled with spicy and traditional Indian specialties, House of India in Huntington is sure to get you out of the take out blues and add a little zip to your tastebuds.
And, if you are a vegetarian, it's a great place to get your fill of veggie dishes that will keep. you coming back for more such as mix vegetable curry or Aloo Gobhi, a mix of cauliflower, potatoes and green peas cooked with herbs and spice.
A glance at the menu, which is available for take-out and delivery, provides everything from the usual chicken kebab to the more exotic Murgh Curry, a yummy mix of boneless chicken cooked in spice flavor curry sauce.
For the brave of hot, there's also plenty to get your eyes watering and forehead dripping with such selections as Tandoori shrimp which features jumbo shrimp flavored with ajwain, ginger, garlic and barbequed in a charcoal oven.

The restaurant used to be open for lunch, their hours currently are listed from 3:to 8:30 p.m. daily, until 9:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Delivery is available until 8:30 p.m. daily.
The prices tend to run on the high side, with many in the $20 range, but there are some budget savers as well.
